The Telescope
The telescope has to be by far the most famous invention made by Galileo himself. Many wonders were found and are still being found to this day. Galileo was able to portray how Venus revolved and turned. He was also able to see some of the Sun's spots from his telescope.
The invention most associated with Galileo is the telescope. He was not, however, the first to combine two lenses for magnification. The Dutch optician Johannes Lippershey invented the spyglass in late 1608. A rumor of its creation arrived in Venice in June of 1608. In the
first night after hearing the rumor, Galileo had designed a telescope with three-fold magnification. Thereafter, he manufactured hundreds by hand, attaining up to 32-fold magnification.
